  • 600 ml Mungalli pouring cream
  • 1 tablespoon red wine
  • 1 packet shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons garlic dust
  • 1 tablespoon mixed herbs
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

2. Cut up all your ingredients.

3. Cook the onion on the stove with a tablespoon of red wine until brown.

4. Add the diced bacon to the onion and cook until soft.

5. Grease the bottom of your baking tray with oil.

6. Add slices of potato to cover the baking tray.

7. Using a tablespoon, spread the onion and bacon mixture over the potatoes.

8. Pour cream to cover the potatoes, sprinkle garlic dust, and spread cheese evenly.

9. Repeat steps 6, 7, and 8 for another layer of ingredients. Add parsley to garnish.

10. Cover the potato bake with foil and cook for 40 minutes. Then, remove the foil and brown the cheese on top for an additional 5–7 minutes.

11. Allow to sit for a few minutes, then cut into serving sizes and dish up with your desired protein.
