Golden Crispy Potatoes Recipe

Golden Crispy Potatoes in a white bowl.

You’ll never need another recipe for golden, crispy potatoes. Perfect to pair with your Christmas dinner!





  • 15 Caliban potatoes, peeled and halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 50g butter, melted
  • Sea salt flakes, for garnish


1. Place the potatoes in a large saucepan of cold water. Over high heat, bring to a boil and cook until slightly tender. Drain and place on a tray lined with paper towel. Set aside for 30 minutes.

2. Preheat your oven to 180°C. Grease 2 large baking trays with ½ tablespoon of olive oil. Combine the remaining olive oil and melted butter in a small bowl.

3. Use a fork to flatten the curved side of each potato slightly. Place the potatoes in a single layer on the prepared trays, with the cut side down. Brush with the butter mixture.

4. Roast in the oven for 50 minutes, until golden brown. Toss with sea salt flakes to serve.
