Deluxe Nuts & Bolts Recipe

  • 1 x 470g packet Nutrigrain (or equivalent if you want gluten-free)
  • 1 x 500g packet JC’s salted cashews
  • 1 x 500g packet JC’s Outback mix
  • 2 x 375g packets JC’s salted mixed nuts
  • 1 x 375g packet JC’s smoked almonds
  • 1 x 375g packet JC’s salted Australian macadamias
  • 1 packet Continental cream of chicken soup
  • 2 packets Continental French onion soup
  • 2 dessertspoons Keens curry powder
  • 2 teaspoons Keens mustard powder
  • ¾ cup vegetable oil


1. Place Nutrigrain and all nuts into a very large mixing bowl and mix well.

2. Place both soup mixes, curry, and mustard powder in a small bowl and mix well. Sprinkle over Nutrigrain and nut mix, then combine using a large spoon.

3. Measure oil into a microwave-safe jug and heat for 1 minute to warm.

4. Pour oil evenly over the nuts-and-bolts mix, and fold with the spoon until all spice powder coats the Nutrigrain and nuts mixture.

5. Place into airtight sealed jars.


Note: You can use whatever nuts or nut mixtures are your favorites. (The recipe is good for 1kg or more of nuts/nut mixes). Moccona Coffee jars are great to store Nuts and Bolts or to use as a gift. #lambertsfreshfoodtales
