Christmas Salsa Stuffed Salmon Recipe

Red and green must never be seen unless it’s Xmas and you’re following this salsa stuffed Salmon recipe.





  • 1 cup fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves, chopped
  • ½ cup fresh chives, chopped
  • ⅓ cup fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 long red chili, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon wholegrain mustard
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • ⅓ cup olive oil
  • 2 salmon fillets, skin on
  • Lemon wedges, to serve


1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (200°C fan-forced).

2. In a bowl, combine parsley, chives, dill, onion, chili, garlic, mustard, lemon juice, and half of the olive oil.

3. On a board, place 1 of the salmon fillets, skin side down.

4. Top the salmon fillet with ⅔ of the herb mixture.

5. Place the remaining salmon fillet, skin side up, on top of the herb mixture.

6. Tie the fillets together with kitchen string at 3 cm intervals.

7. Rub the tied salmon fillets with the remaining olive oil.

8. Place the salmon fillets on a baking dish.

9. Cook in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.

10. Remove from the oven and cut into 8 slices.

11. Serve with lemon wedges and the remaining parsley mixture.
