Lamberts Fresh Produce has been a staple in the community since 1901, starting out with humble beginnings in Brisbane selling hay, potatoes, pumpkin, and onions. Fast forward to today and they’ve grown into Townsville’s largest farmers market – now that’s what we call an impressive feat! With a name that’s 122 years old in 2023 and 82 years of trading in Townsville under their belt, it’s clear that Lamberts know their stuff.
Lamberts has an in-house meat department slicing seven days a week with over 20 traditionally trained local Townsville butchers, meat handlers and apprentices. You will love our grass-fed Bingil Bay beef, famous wood smoked ham, chicken products, and smallgoods.
It will taste better. You will get better value from bigger harvests. More variety from truly seasonal conditions and the highest quality comes after years of experience being a local fruiterer dealing with local and Brisbane markets and having a close relationship with farmers and their produce.
A passion for good food brings families together, supports communities, and gives farmers a livelihood. It offers health benefits to our bodies, and joy to our taste buds.
What sets us apart from the rest? Not only do we still offer old-fashioned service, but we also are committed to providing each and every customer with top-quality fresh affordable produce. Our meat department boasts a 20-strong butchers and chicken technicians, including their signature wood-smoked ham and smallgoods that will have your taste buds singing with delight. Plus, we’ve always offering the best in fresh, in-season produce that gives you real value for your money buy shopping in season.
But wait, there’s more! We are also home to an adjacent Stockfeed and Gardening Departments where you can find seeds, plants and seedlings, stock feed, mulch, fertilisers and firewood, and pet-related products. And for a truly unique shopping experience, they even have chickens, ducks, and birds for sale.
